GEM Buildings has an opening for the position of Project Manager. We are seeking a professional person with great management skills The Project Manager will lead project teams, coordinate, and ensure the satisfactory completion of multiple Design Build and Division 5 projects. They will be responsible for client relations and satisfaction, job cost accounting, and vendor/supplier relations. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of excellence with regard to quality, ensuring all phases of the project conform to quality requirements.
Duties include developing and sustaining project schedules, maintaining budget, and working with project team members to assure productivity and timeliness, including staffing, employee relations, adherence to company policies, etc. Ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with clients, vendors/suppliers, and all departments within the company. Extensive knowledge of all facets of steel building manufacturing is preferred.
Will be expected to effectively work with vendors/suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and procure materials. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring timely submission of all paperwork through receipt of final billing. Promoting teamwork, cooperation, and open communication among all those involved with project is a required function of this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relations
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
• Negotiation skills
• Basic knowledge of codes (i.e. IBC, ADA, etc.)
• Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
• Good documentation skills
• Possess a valid drivers license
